My L8148 just died with exactly the same failure - a failed solder connection on the circuit board underneath the relay. The fact that you could buy a replacement that works doesn't seem like a good reason to give 5 stars. Considering that failure of this component can have serious consequences for your house and your personal safety, this type of defect (poor soldering quality) is inexcusable. If Honeywell had some competition they couldn't get by with this sort of shoddy workmanship.

My current Auqastat died on me; luckily it wasn't a cold day. Apparently one of the solder point behind the relay burned out. I ordered this overnight and it was a simple swap out to replace. Happy with the product and fast shipping. Now the circulator pump is running and the house is warm again.
