Great customer service.
By P. Clark
I work in an automotive shop and this thing worked great for the first couple of months. Then it started leaving little puddles on the ground. Then the puddles turned into a leak. Then the digital control pad on top started going crazy. This thing turns itself on and off, turns the pump on and off, drops the fan speed at times, and swings the vent direction whenever it wants to. When I bought it, not through Amazon BTW, I was told that the store had all parts to replace anything on it. When I took it to get it repaired, they said that they had to send it out and they didn't repair them at their store. This thing is very frustrating, but I guess it is a lesson learned and now I have to deal with it. Update as of 6/18/2012. I contacted the manufacturer and they were very helpful. They sent me a digital control pad replacement. I put it on and the machine still did the same thing. I emailed back very frustrated and the guy that I emailed said that he would send me a new machine. I received it in less than a week. They have great customer service. I had 2 stars but I bumped it up to 4 stars just because of the customer service.

Works GREAT, once you know how to use it
By Table Mtn Cynthia
We live in Denver in a home from the 1930's with no A/C. Our ground floor is about 700 square feet, and this unit has kept it around 77 or 78 degrees all through a heat wave we just had where every day was 100 or more. But you MUST keep a few windows open. Our system is to open the one directly behind the unit about 6 inches, and open one at each end of the house about the same amount. We have been using one box fan on low to add just a little more air circulation, and I like it better than A/C. But it definitely wouldn't work if you don't live in an arid climate.Yet, it smells funny for the first week or two of use, but the smell wears off. Another review said they cleaned the mesh pads right away and the smell was gone.We are considering getting another unit for our workshop which is a separate, uninsulated building.

the big unit
By H. Dudley
Item is quite large (and over-priced)but,hopefully will help beat the AZ heat without A/C help. Must admit that, on 1st use, nasty smell eminates...strangely like urine! However, cleaned pads immediately and smell greatly reduced. Unit not made in USA, so draw your own conclusions.
