3Its Ok Ladder, Wish can have better opening & Closing Mechanism
By Matt
The ladder are OK. Opening and closing the door is easy and no issue. But one thing that I find it diffucult is to open and close the steps itself. I have to use the telescopic rod to try to pull the steps down and have to do it carefully as otherwise the steps could fall on to you. Also when trying to closed the steps back I have to use the same thod and this time trying to push it up. Wish there is an easier method to do this. This normally not an issue on regular 8 Foot ladder but being this is 12 foot high, there is no way you can just push up like the regular 8ft ladder. If they have mechanism to make opening and closing the steps easier that would be better. So I give 3 star rating for OK only.

4Does the job as promised
By metzmatt
I was concerned because this package came severely damaged. It's so heavy it's shipped by truck freight, not UPS or other parcel delivery. But a quick call to the factory confirmed that everything that was supposed to be there was indeed still there. This is a heavy product and installation may not be possible by most do-it-yourselfers. I hired a guy who installs garage storage and ladders and he did a great job. This was replacing an existing 10' ladder (which despite its size had been installed in my 12-foot ceiling and would not reach the floor). The opening required for this longer ladder was of course longer, meaning there was some cutting into the ceiling and headers required. Oddly, the opening required for this ladder was actually about 1-2" NARROWER than the existing ladder. In any case, it was installed and it works great. It's sturdy, rugged, and attractive. It does, however, require another ladder (or stepladder) to deploy the ladder and put it back because of its height and weight. But I don't know how that could be avoided.Pros> Sturdy> AttractiveCons> Requires a step ladder to deploy and close> the little hand rails on the side of the ladder don't do much good

5Great Attic Stairs
By William Andruzzi Jr.
I have 12ft ceilings in my garage so i needed stairs that were well made and sturdy. These met all my expectations. They fit well, are quality, and a good name in Louisville Ladder. You will be vert happy with them. I highly recommend them.
