This item came highly recommended by people in the industry. Needed to use soon after purchase. Had it not been used, would have never known that the cable was improperly wrapped and caused a kink in the cable. It was a pain to unravel and wrap it correctly which took three men to do and about a half hour work. A follower should have been included with this item to prevent this. It may require the same effort each time used. Used it to tow machinery that was stuck in the road which was successful. Purchased a mounting system, cover, sister hooks and 3"inch strap all by Warn. Quality of these items seem very durable. Now I will have to purchase a follower.Just wanted to follow up on my review. I looked for a follower to fix my problem. The item I needed is called a wire rope tension kit. I almost ordered it but decided to call Warn first. Good thing I did because I was told that this kit is only for the industrial grade winches. The representative told me he has the same winch and struggles with the same problem but had no recommendations.

i have had this for about a month. installed it on my f150 4x4.the winch has already pulled me out of deep mud twice with power to spare.my only complaint is that it didnt come with a winch cover.

And right off the bat...I see it came with an older cheaper type remote. It has a simple toggle switch instead of the one pictured/promised.================================================================================"REMOTE CONTROL INCLUDED"----------------------------The new next-generation WARN remote control stands up to rough treatment off-road. The rubberized, ergonomic pistol-grip handle sits comfortably in the hand. It's ultra-weather/mud resistant thanks to improved sealing. Simple, intuitive operation makes for a new industry standard in winch remotes.================================================================================While I'm sure it will work...I don't like bait and switch tactics.And I'm surprised to see WARN using them.A disappointed 2 stars for the wrong type remote.Minus another star for poor customer service.************************************************UPDATEAs of today 8/27/12 Warn has refused to correct this situation by sending me the correct remote that is shown above.They are telling me the "old simple toggle switch style remote" I recieved is now the "new style".(IT IS NOT SHOWN HERE)Apparently they think we...their customers have a below average I.Q.I would recommend against buying this WARN winch until they post the correct picture of the remote that you will recieve.
