Quick delivery and good construction
By G. Jones
The box came totally smashed and I expected the worse. However I opened it with the UPS driver and everything was intact and all parts were there. I purchased it to lower some thousand pound objects over a hill / cliff and it worked great. A local crane company wanted 4K to do the work. I needed a winch anyway, so I figured if it worked for that project I would be money ahead. If not I had a new winch. I know that it's not intended for this, but it worked great. It is now mounted on a vehicle and I have used it to pull a few logs and farm equipment pieces around. I expect to use it quite a bit this winter. Overall I am very satisfied. I would recommend this to anyone. I deducted a star because I have never seen a box that damaged in shipping.

Great Entry-Level Winch For The Money
By ja1724
I actually use this winch to 'skid' logs out of the woods to my truck. I mounted it on a custom fabricated trailer receiver. I've pulled numerous logs between 24" and 30" diameter. These can weigh between 1200 and 1600 pounds. The motor never got hot once even during long pulls. The front of these logs were on a skidding 'slide' though. For what I do with this winch and the price I paid I am very happy with it.

Pulled a Jeep out of a mud hole!
By Brian Stoll
I have this mounted to my '03 Nissan Frontier through a Shrockworks custom bumber. I anchored my truck to a tree and let the winch do the work, no problem! The packaging could use some better cushioning as I needed to order a replacement housing for the solenoid. The company responded very quickly with the replacement part. Over all I'm very happy with the winch.
