terrible shipping

after almost a month, the second ladder shipped finally arrived and appears to be satisfactory. The problem with this order was with shipping. The first ladder was damaged in transit, and the local delivery company STILL had not received authorization to return it by the time the second ladder arrived on its loading dock. And for both ladders, the national shipping company claimed -- until I contacted Amazon and they contacted the company TWICE -- that $700 was due on receipt -- enough to buy 2-3 similar ladders locally -- when the ladder was already fully paid for and was to be shippped at no charge.

Silence is all you hear

Is it running, my wife asked. Seriously, this is a high quality, silent running, mass air moving bathroom fan. I paired this up with the "Panasonic PC-NLF06D WhisperLine Accessory Kit, 6-Inch Double Pick Up Panasonic" and installed 2 vents in my master bathroom. The accessory kit includes everything you need, sans 6" flex duct to run between the vents and the unit and then from the unit to the outside. The accessory kit includes a damper for each vent location and is completely silence when the dampers open and close. Overall, this unit appears to be well constructed and should provide many decades of use.I found this simple formula online to calculated the required CFM for your bathroom. It seems to be spot on.Step 1: Calculate the cubic feet of your bathroom (length x width x height)Step 2: Divide by 60 (the number of minutes in an hour)Step 3: Multiply the result by 8 (the number of recommended air changes per hour)== recommend CFM

Quietest kitchen fan yet

We have renovated several houses and have always installed Panasonic vent fans. They are among the quietest and most durable available (Fantech is also good). This is the first inline fan we have installed. We put it in the kitchen-- we don't need a fancy hood with fan over the stove, just a good exhaust fan to clear the occasional smoke or to cool the room. This fan moves lots of air (240 cfm), especially with the 6" duct we installed, but it is quieter than the 70 cfm ceiling fans we have put in previously.

Great fan. I have been looking for years.

I have been looking for years to find a replacement for the noisy cobbled exhaust fan the builder put in my attic to vent 3 bathrooms and the laundry room. Amazon is the last place I would consider to look for something like this. I only found it while I was looking for something else. I'd rather be lucky than smart.This unit is quiet and easy to install. Their installation methods and hardware are very flexible. The 240 CFM size is adequate to exhaust four room outlets of 4" diameter each with major restrictors at the room outlets. I have the fan on a timer that runs 16 hours a day. The inlet of the fan unit is only a single 6" opening. You must construct your own inlet plenum for multiple inlet connections. A Y-connector or a T-connector works nicely.

Sybex 8019 Adjustable Work Table

Item received. However, this "is not" a "NEW" Work Table. It appears to have been a Floor Model, boxed up and sold as new. It was obvious when I looked at the wheels, the hardware parts were not in a bog, 2 of the 14mm bolts and washers were missing, top of tray had a dent, and there is damage on the underside of the tray. I have assemabled the Table -- Will keep it, but disappointed to say the least, that anyone would sent out an item like this. Would have wanted to know item "was not" new (as stated), before I purchased the prodect. It is a nice table, and would recommended it. Paid too much for a used Table.

Safe and strong staircase-type step ladder

Wing Little Jumbo Safety Ladder with Bar and TrayPros:- Well designed, engineered, and manufactured. This must be the third or fourth generation of this product, as the kinks have been worked out.- The rubber-clad, slip-resistant treads are large and much more comfortable to stand on than typical step-ladders. More like standing on a stair step than a ladder.- This ladder is quite stable; no wobble, creaking, or feeling that the ladder might fall forward or to the side.- Strong. I'm 6' 4" and 270 lbs., and this poses no problems with this ladder. Ladder is rated for 300 lbs.- Safety. With other short step-ladders, the frame of the ladder is to the side of the steps. This is fine for strength, but if you lose your balance and have to jump off the ladder to the side, that very frame can trip you, resulting in a nasty fall. The Little Giant's frame is [mostly] under the steps, so there's little likelihood of being tripped if you jump off to the side.- Versatile platform. While standing on any tread, you can work to either side, to the front, or even safely turn around and face the rear.- Folds and unfolds easily and quickly.- You would typically want to unfold the safety-bar handle and snap it in the upright position. However, you can leave the handle in the down position, and use the device as a staircase to walk straight onto a truck, camper, trailer, temporary construction platform, stage, etc.- The integrated work tray on top of the handle holds paint brushes, tools, etc., and has two hooks for hanging paint cans or buckets.- Reasonably light to carry around: 20 lbs.- Rolls around (on smooth floors only) with the built-in wheels while opened up. (If it's folded, you have to carry it.)- We bought ours from Wing at a Home Improvement show. It arrived on-time and undamaged via UPS. (Wing is a family owned company in Utah, so their products are "made in the USA".)Cons:- The most expensive step ladder of this height on the market.- The built-in wheels could have been a little larger for better rolling on uneven surfaces.- Heavier and bulkier than other step-ladders of this height (but of course, these attributes provide much better stability, safety, and comfort).- Other Wing ladders carry a life-time warranty. Makes you wonder why this one has a one-year warranty.Other:- Storage requirements when folded: ladder height is 44" and width is 4.7"Summary:The 4-star rating is due to the Cons listed above.

OK but not perfected yet

I am a photographer who has been using these ladders for years. They have always had weak spots which contributed to them collapsing after a few years. The reason I keep buying them is they have generously sized steps which make standing on them much more comfortable. I ordered a new one last week to replace a broken one. It appears that several of the weak spots have been re-engineered and I look forward to hopefully not having this one collapse on me. The biggest problem I have with the new one is that the re-engineered clips which must be squeezed in order to put down the handle are extremely hard to squeeze, and the pins which must go into a hole to keep the handle up do not line up very well. In other words,it was almost impossible to put the handle down once it was up. I called Amazon and they immediately sent me a new one. The new one is a little better, but not good. Hopefully the company will work on a better solution for the future.

This product is great! We bought one about 4 years ago, and is used by our department staff all the time.Ever since we've had it, other people in the building come looking for it. People from other departments bypass other types of ladders and have stolen it at least three times.Everyone who has used it speaks highly of it.

Fails the Perfectionist test

I returned it.Pros:- Extremely sturdyCons:- They failed to use washers at the pivot points where the legs meet the frame. Therefore, it's metal against metal and all the paint scraped off in that area (which in Florida means RUST). This oversight also makes the legs more difficult to move. This is a MAJOR FAIL.- They used rivets to attach the legs to the frame instead of bolts/nuts. Rivets are for lesser quality items. This is a MEDIUM FAIL.- Before I ordered the table I checked their web site to see what the top was made out of ... I didn't know what "medium density overlay" was so I took a chance. Turns out its just untreated particle board. Which means, the first time you spill something, it will swell up and distort. This is a MAJOR FAIL.Needless to say, I set very high standards for such an expensive item (easily five times the price of a typical folding table). Standards that this table did not meet.

American Made Excellence

This worktable just arrived in perfect condition. It uses an easy snap in place bar to lock the legs. I was thinking that I might be applying too much pressure to get the bar to lock so before I proceeded I dialed TroJan Manufacturing (Jeff O'Mealy-CEO) & talked with him. He reassured me that I could just set the long side in place & give it a solid tug & it would snap into place. I did that & wow is this thing solid!! Perfect working height(35.5"), really beefy construction, & great size (24" x 38") so I my initial impressions are that this is going to be a solid addition to my portable shop setup. I am fed up with just setting tools & parts on the floor & then have to step around them or accidentally kick them out of the way. This well made product initially is everything I expected. I would not hesitate to recommend this product to a prospective buyer. The manufacturer knows his stuff, is extremely easy to contact, & very concerned about his products meeting customer needs.

Rock Solid

I've owned this table for over one year and it's earned 10 stars. It's perfect for all sorts of garage projects. I often place my table saw on it; sometimes I put a vice on it. Whatever... it does everything. It's so easy to set up and it is *ROCK SOLID*. I swear you could park a car on it. Trojan is great stuff (I own the sawhorses too). I will never buy another brand; just want a second one of these tables to do more things!

Great with one small exception

I really like this unit! It's not the cheapest bath fan out there, but if you want "quiet" this is the one you want.Seems very well-built, and was easy to install with one exception and this is my only complaint: the straight part of the inlet/outlet fittings is very short - doesn't give you much to attach hose/pipe to. I think it would be better if they could be lengthened about 1/2".

If only the air it moves were as quiet!

I installed one of these to replace a nine year-old NuTone 110 cfm in-ceiling exhaust fan for our laundry room. The old Nutone was very noisy, adding its din to the noise generated by the washer and dryer.The new Panasonic inline fan is incredibly quiet, and since it's a squirrel cage-style blower, not a fan, it generates a good amount of static pressure. Once I got everything hooked up, the only noise was from the air rushing through the intake and ductwork; the blower unit itself is inaudible.The unit may be mounted in any orientation except with the electrical connection and service door facing down. The supplied mounting brackets have limited usage; I ended up fastening the unit to my plywood mounting panel with my own angle brackets instead.I'll definitely consider retrofitting the other exhaust fans in my house with this or the larger units as appropriate.

Great fan! Using it on our second project

I'm a remodeling contractor. A customer requested we install this fan because it could vent the main bath we're renovating, and the master bath that we weren't touching.The unit has brackets which made it easy to install the joists/rafters in the attic. We bought 4" insulated tubing/ductwork and connected them in the attic.The grills were easy to install too.The only hard part was that we needed an electrician to hook it up. He used a "parallel" circuit design, so each switch worked completely independent of the other.Also, don't forget to buy the accessory kit. It has the baffle modules to prevent back flow of air.My customer loves it, and now were installing it on a double remodel we're doing.

Awesome!!!

I ordered this to darken some of the rooms in the house. It arrived within a few days. I immediately set out to tint the windows. It was so easy to do, I tinted almost every window in the house. The house stays a lot cooler now, saving on AC costs. That was the initial reason for getting this product. But, it also allows for privacy. Just like dark tint on a car window, you can see out, but the outside has a hard time seeing in. I recommend this for everyone who wants to keep the inside of your house cooler and a bit darker, particularly if you work night shifts.

I was looking for somthing to cover the windows in my sun room without blocking tne view.The window film worked great,it was easy to work with because of the paper backing,and thick enough not to tear easily.I also took note to install it on the outside of windows,because of double pane.All in all, a very good product from Amazon.
