This winch was great to install and worked great for a while, however both my off reading partner and I have had the same issue which has been recognized by local dealers - if the solenoid gets wet, it will freeze up and not work. Be careful with how you install, and if you intend to use seriously, consider the X2o series instead.

I've only used this winch a couple of times, but I love it. Thanks to the 100' of rope, I was able to self recover my truck while off-road by attaching to a tree that was around 75' away. Also used it to pull 8'-10' lengths of firewood out of the woods.It has a nice line speed.

I have had this winch for a little more than 6 months, used it about 6 times. So far it has worked great. The synthetic line is the biggest benefit here, with my OME HD springs my font didn't drop a 1/4" after I installed this.It does take some time for the line to free spool nicely, after a few uses it gets easier and easier.I would definitely recommend this, and with a prime trial, you get overnight shipping for basically nothing. Just don't buy the smitty cover, it's crap.The negatives:Cheap stickers used, fade quickly.Pay attention when inserting remote, you can put it in backwards with some force, watch out for a "helper" to do something like this.
