A few notes about this fan.Pros:1)Multiple mounting options make it very versatile2)Can be installed from below, with the right tools*3)darn near silent4)very good air pullCons:1)somewhat flimsy plastic duct connection. I would have preferred something metal, like the rest of the housing2)It's big, about 4 inches taller than our existing fan, and much wider and longer.3)Sharp metal edges all around make installing from below a bloody and painful proposition.That's about it, the pros outweigh the cons by a fair margin, and when it's all said and done, you can barely hear it when it's on, especially during the day. At night, it's more obvious, but it's still very quiet.* a note on installing from below. You will need a 90 degree bit attachment for your drill. You will need to pre-drill the holes, and you will need to cut a bigger hole in your ceiling than you want to. Just do it, you'll save your hands quite a few nasty cuts. It's really hard, but, when it's your only option, you have to do it.
